    Chic large ashtray or vide-poche in speckled swirled cream ceramic with brass centre by the Italian designer Tommaso Barbi. Made in Italy in the 1970s. Signed Tommaso Barbi's to the base alongside original label. Attractive as a standalone piece but also useful for keys, cards or coins or as a desk or dressing-table accessory.

    Tommaso Barbi (1944–2015) was a renowned Italian artist and designer famous for his sculptural lighting, furniture, and interior items created during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. His work famously blended functional design with organic, nature-inspired shapes.
