A very rare and desirable 17th century English oak box having moulded front and sides, original lock plate, drop pulls and bun feet, with superb color and patination. The box is made in the form of an English lidded coffer and was made to keep valuables. Now it is wonderful either as a tabletop object or useful at the side of a chair.
