Description
The Pebble Dish is one of the most streamline designs that William Spratling produced. The elongated pebble bowl sits cantilevered on a carved ebony pebble form. It is signed in silver on the underside of the woodThis design was produced in 2 sizes. We have both sizes available for purchase. Both in great condition. William Spratling’s unique blending of traditional Mexican Colonial, Ranchero and Pre-Columbian designs with modern forms have created a place for him amongst the Masters of 20th Century Modern Silver world wide. Numerous books have been written either by or about him and he was the subject of the film, “The Man From New Orleans”, in 1948.
