A collection of Persian silverware and tableware
Persian, Early 20th Century
Box: height 3cm, width 16.5cm, depth 9.5cm
Vases: height 41cm, diameter 12cm
Examples of superb 20th century Persian metalwork, this excellent silver collection consists of a variety of fine pieces. It consists of pair of tall, slim vases, a ewer with group of six goblets, silver trays, a napkin holder, a small rectangular silver box, and a large hinged and lockable round storage box, that comes mounted on a large round silver dish.
Each piece is made in a fairly consistent style and manner, with simple yet elegant forms and shapes dominating, which are embellished with superbly wrought and carved decoration. The ewers and goblets, for example, form a fine subset of drinkware, the tray are exceptional display pieces, as are the lovely tall vases. The silver is all hallmarked and stamped for its high quality. -
