Description
The enduring sensibility of Danish design has proven timeless, with both vintage and contemporary works continuing to captivate collectors worldwide. Dansk embodies this appreciation for Scandinavian aesthetics. Founded in the 1950s by Martha and Ted Nierenberg, the company grew from their search for finely crafted European housewares, a pursuit that ultimately led them to Danish sculptor and designer Jens Quistgaard. His collaboration with Dansk shaped the brand’s identity for decades, producing thousands of pieces now regarded as design icons, including these Odin Salad Servers.
Forged in polished stainless steel, this pair reflects one of Dansk’s earliest and most celebrated traditions, first seen in their Fjord Flatware. Here, the material takes center stage, highlighting its sculptural qualities and durability. The generously scaled serving ends are designed for ease and function, while the short, weighted handles provide balance and a satisfying heft in hand. Both practical and elegant, the Odin Servers exemplify Quistgaard’s ability to unite utility with timeless modern design. -

Message from Seller:
Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
