Condition Good. Cup: Good. Tight hairline to rim. KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the exterior. RESTORATION. Retouched flake to rim. Saucer: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.
Creation Date 1869
Description Minton Majolica cup and saucer which features lily pads, leaves and blossom. Coloration: green, ochre, white, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1349'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1869.
