On offer for your consideration we have a wonderful Bauhaus tray made in Germany in 1929 designed by Marianne Brandt for Ruppel Werke.
Marianne Brandt was one of the most important designer in Germany from 1924 till the mid 1930's. In 1928 she was acting head of the Bauhaus and also worked in Berlin with Walter Gropius Architectural office.
At this time she designed many modern accessories for the modern homes througt the Ruppel Werke metal goods factory in Gotha.
From 1949 to 1951 Brandt lectured at the Dresden Academy of fine arts.
Brandts works are in private collections and museums like The Met.
