Description
French Art Deco Silver-Plated Coffee and Tea Service Five-Piece Set with Stylized Geometric Motifs, Circa 1930
Includes: Coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, and serving tray
A striking and complete French Art Deco silver-plated service set, this five-piece ensemble exemplifies the bold sophistication of 1930s design. Each piece features newly high-polish silver plating over angular, architectural forms with dynamic stepped and scroll motifs, especially prominent at the shoulder of each vessel. Handles and finials are finely cast with octagonal and angular detailing that speaks to the mechanical elegance of the Machine Age.
The tray is equally sculptural, adorned with stylized ram’s head or volute elements at the handles—an elevated detail that underscores the set’s exceptional quality. Likely produced by a top-tier French silversmith, the set is stamped with a hallmark “G,” consistent with makers working in Paris during the interwar period.
The geometric balance of this service, from its sharply cut handles to the harmonious symmetry of each vessel, makes it both a functional piece and a powerful decorative statement—perfect for collectors or display in a refined Art Deco interior. - More Information
