A wonderful mid century Belgian wall tapestry with birds. Great colors and design, with wonderful detailed decoration with birds, animals and rich foliage. Around the edge there are also a few instrument playing people depicted. All in all a very expressive and colorful - above all stylish appearance.

This tapestry historically can be placed directly in line with the rich tapestry and carpet industry of Belgium and France from the Medieval times forward - around the mid 20th century antiques and antique wall tapestries and gobelin tapestries were quite popular. As a result of that there were also new medieval style tapestries made - this is one of these.

Works very well combined with modern or other style furniture - or interior styles.
