17th century Dutch Delft tiles with flowers and birds - backsplash - bathroom

Price Upon Request
  • Description
    The Netherlands
    1660 - 1680

These charming tiles date from around 1660 and depict a range of different flowers and birds in blue. Among them are Tulips, an Iris, a Crown Imperial, and Fritillaria, song birds, and predator birds. The tiles are decorated with so-called oxheads as corner decorations. It is quite rare to find such a large quantity of original 17th century tiles with such fine decorations. A unique set of about 350 years old.

The tiles are suitable for use in a tiling project, such as a backsplash, fireplace surrounding, or in the bathroom, but can also be displayed mounted as a painting on the wall.
They measure approximately 5 x 5 inches and are in an overall good condition with the normal wear as can be expected for their age.

On request, we can also deliver matching plain white tiles — originals from the 18th/19th century or hand-made reproductions.
    40 available.
