Southern Plains high top moccasins
brain-tanned hide
17” high; shoe length 10”
1/16” seed beads (red, white, blue, orange and silver metallic)
excellent condition (reflects previous wear)
circa 1890s-1920s

These high top moccasins, dyed wiith ochre, are from the Southern Plains. Dating to the early Reservation period, they are clearly in the tradition of the Southern Plains (perhaps Kiowa??). -
