Claude Michel Clodion Bas Relief Plaque in Bronze 19th Century

$ 1,950
  • Description
    A wonderful 19th century antique plaque in repoussé bronze after a work by famous sculptor Claude Michel (Clodion) (1738-1814).

    Depicted is a mythical scene with children / fauns, and a dog. Wonderful details like the devilish ears and goat legs. Very well made and gained a nice patina over time. This plaque made in the repoussé technique catches the light wonderfully and would be great on a wall - but can also be used standing against a wall.

    Comes in a good condition. Signed Clodion lower right corner.
