Description
Cicada. A hasty departure from his typical avian subjects, this piece trades birds for a crude, literal rendering of a cicada. The composition relies on messy, chaotic squiggles trapped inside thick marker lines to suggest wing texture, with flat unrefined washes of teal and orange and finished with a heavy-handed, scrawled signature and title directly on the front.
