Description
This pair of striking Hollywood Regency black Lacquered and gilt wood marble top end tables beautifully capture the bold, theatrical glamour and neo-classical symmetry synonymous with the mid-20th-century designs of Dorothy Draper. Executed with a high-gloss ebonized black lacquered frame, the table stands as a brilliant exercise in graphic contrast and sculptural form. The tables feature a deeply scalloped, architectural apron that sweeps dramatically into exaggerated cabriole legs. Hand-painted parcel-gilt wood details outline every curve, introducing a touch of baroque opulence that catches the light from every angle. Recessed perfectly into the molded top trim are inset slabs of cool marble, adding material richness while ensuring practical durability for staging lamps, books, or cocktails. Unapologetically decorative and designed to command attention rather than recede, these side tables serve as exceptional anchor pieces for luxury interiors. An ideal addition to mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic contemporary rooms that benefit from high-contrast styling.
