Juan Navarette Abstract Cuban Folkloric "Painting Woman with Fish and Pigeon"

Offered for sale is a Cuban folkloric painting of a seated woman reading a box next to a window with a typical colonial Stained glass panel. The composition features a mosaic fish hanging on the wall and a pigeon. The artist has incorporated the frame as part of the painting. Navarette continued the painting over the fram . Juan Navarette studied at the prestigious San Alejandro Academy in Havana, Cuba before fleeing communism and making his new home in Miami, FL. This painting is acrylic on wood and is signed lower right within the portion of the work that is painted on the frame. The work is titled on the verso. Dating from September 2022.
