Torched Teak Wall Relief, K. Nykänen 1972 Finland

Description
Not much is known about the artist, except that this is a commissioned piece for a personal friend of the sculptor. This impressive block of solid teak wood has been carved beautifully, giving it an abstract look, and torched afterward to give it depth and finish the beautiful design. Due to it's very distinct design, this piece has a big presence in any room it's in making it the perfect centerpiece.
The item is in very good original condition, and has acquired quite a nice vintage patina. it's signed " K. Nykänen 1972". -
