Portrait of Ergluht after Angelo Asti Signed Wagner. Circa 1875. This is a stunning example of a late 19th century Berlin KPM Plaque, painted by one their best artist, Wagner. It is signed on the front by the artist and marked on the reverse X (O) 5 K.P.M. Also original partial paper label noting the #5. This is without the elaborate gold guilded antique frame and the shadow box in closer -- Angelo Asti from whom Wagner was inspired to paint this stunning portrait was an Italian/French painter (1847-1903). He was also well known for his painting portraits of women -- Box Frame: 19" x 19" -- IMAGE - 8.25x W x 10" H
