Pia Manu, Wall Sculpture In Cast Iron And Glass, Belgium, Late 1960s
-
Description
Pia Manu was a workshop from Ingelmunster, Belgium. Here, amongst others, Jules Dewaele (and his son Koen Dewaele) designed several design pieces during the 1960s, combining natural materials such as stone and slate, marble with ceramics, glass and metal (mainly cast iron).
The stunning sculpture we present is a brutalist masterpiece of the late 1960s (probably around 1968) in cast iron and blue glass fragments.
Two arms, that have broken (cast iron is heavy but fragile), have been carefully restored.
For the transport a crate is absolutely necessary. - More Information
