Swedish Folk Art Mural
-
Description
Beautiful Swedish Folk Art mural (or bonad), also referred to as a kurbitz or kurbits, depicting King Herod and the three wise men dressed in 18th century Swedish costume and executed in pleasing muted palette on homespun linen. These festive decorations were displayed in Swedish homes during Christmas and other holidays and are and are rare to find outside the country. This is an especially large example.
