Description
Tyler Murphy Contemporary Abstract Landscape Painting on Canvas
Offered for sale is a colorful contemporary abstract painting on canvas by Tyler Murphy. The painting is signed in the lower right. It is displayed in a white lacquered frame and wired to hang.
Tyler Murphy paints dimensional, colorful abstract paintings. By means of various mediums including palette knife and brush techniques, Tyler's creations are dynamic and speak to the contemporary spirit. Tyler is the daughter of well known artist Marvin (Murf) Murphy, also a contemporary painter, who has been exhibiting his work for well over 30 years. Growing up in an artistic household, Tyler caught on to the power of the imagination at a young age. She is inspired by the mysterious forces that flow through all of nature. Her paintings are a means to explore the world and herself, dissolving boundaries through synesthetic design. Along with painting, Tyler is passionate about human + animal rights as well as environmental causes, and uses her art to raise awareness.
“Painting is a portal into the imaginal realms that lie beyond the visible. I am inspired by the multiplicity of nature: patterns, textures, colors, and sounds that permeate existence. Through thick layers of paint, in which I carve and coalesce, I explore the infinite possibilities of mind and matter. I strive to create a balance of chaos and order in my work as I evolve with each painting. The result, when a piece comes together, is an elemental reflection that can be experienced viscerally like a song.”
Tyler received her BA degree in photojournalism from the University of Florida.
She currently works from her studio in South Florida and exhibits her work at art festivals. -
