An American still-life oil painting from the 19th century depicting fruits and set in gilt frame. Created in the US during the 19th century, this still-life painting features a dark palette perfectly complimenting the subject. Mouth-watering peaches, red and yellow grapes are overflowing from a wicker basket with large handle, that has tipped over a tabletop. The fruits, which are receiving a strong light from the front, are standing out beautifully on the dark background. Signed lower right, this painting is set inside a gilt frame. With its elegant subject and nice proportions, this 19th century still-life oil painting will bring a stylish touch to any home decor.
