Description
Angelina Nasso, Modern, Framed Abstract, Beige and Black Oil on Canvas, USA, 1998
An abstract oil on canvas in beige, black and white, titled "Into rainbows, serpents into shores and thorns," painted by Angelina Nasso, 1998. This work is signed, dated, and titled in pencil on the reverse.
ANGELINA NASSO (b. 1973) explores the “space of potentiality” that shapes our daily experience. After a period focused on writing, she returned to painting with renewed clarity, continuing her long-standing inquiry into the relationship between the individual and the universe—an approach informed by physicist John Wheeler’s idea of a participatory reality. Her large-scale works pursue the sublime, reflecting her sense of awe for a world that is continually reshaping itself.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Nasso is based in upstate New York. She studied at the San Francisco Art Institute, the China National Academy of Art, and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in numerous corporate collections, including a major commission for Tiffany & Co. in Prague.
