Framed watercolor signed lower left. Depicting a Roman street market in the Via Del Pianto. Matted and in a gilt wood frame. The artist born in 1845 and died 1907. One of the founding members of the Association of Watercolorists. This may be part of a series of 120 watercolors done from 1878-1896. They depicted parts of Rome that were in danger of disappearing from modernization. His clients included Empress Maria Feodorovna , King Victor Emmanuel II and Umberto I.
