Description
Felix Akulw ( Royal College of Art, London) uses bright, intricate designs that seem to move and alter as one views them. Light, colour and shape are of paramount importance in his work. There is a little hint here of Terry Frost and some of the late 20th century Cornish artists, but these are very much a product of another, different, more sophisticated generation. Akulw's paintings are vivid and strong, bringing a focus into the space they occupy. These paintings are an interior designers delight, a wonderful way of enhancing space and introducing colour and form.
