This work by Fernando de Ana is part of his visual exploration of the overlay of translucent geometric planes, where color and light become the true protagonists of the work.

The painting is constructed from overlapping rectangular and square shapes, creating areas of chromatic intersection where the colors transform and acquire new intensities. The use of resin on panel allows for a polished and luminous finish, reinforcing the sense of depth and of layers suspended in the pictorial space.

The work belongs to a tradition of contemporary geometric abstraction, but it departs from constructivist rigidity to explore a more sensory and perceptual dimension. Fernando de Ana does not present geometry as a closed structure, but as a flexible system in which color, transparency, and light generate a visual experience that changes according to distance and the angle of the light.
