    On offer for your consideration we have an oil painting of two donkeys or burros by Franz Elsner (1898-1978).
    Impasto is the technique used in the three dimensional sculptural surface of this painting. The two donkeys are painted in gray, black and dark brown, the background in several shades of green with yellow highlights.
    Franz Elsner had many exhibitions from 1920-1970's in Vienna, Venice and Paris. In Austria he exhibited at the Osterreichische Kunstschau, Wiener Secession and Bibliothek Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
