Great 17th century Italian painting, bucolic landscape with ruins
-
Description
Wonderful Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a splendid pastoral scene, with elements of classical arcadia that recall the tradition of the Roman school of the late 17th century. We see a bucolic landscape with figures, grazing animals and an architectural capriccio of ancient ruins. In the foreground a very sweet scene, a woman points to a little dog standing on two legs that dances to the sound of the shepherd's flute. 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, beautifully decorated, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and repainting of the color in small spots. Overall in good condition. Interior size H 73 x W 106 cm.
