These paintings are created by the renowned Bohemian landscape painter of the 18th century, Johannes Jakon Hartmann. They depict, within finely executed landscape backdrops, St John giving a sermon and the Miraculous Healing by Jesus Christ. The cold muted tones of the paintings, contrasted against areas illuminated in light, enhance the overall dramatic effect.
