A palatial oil on canvas of a portrait of siblings signed J. Peellaert. A finely detailed oil on canvas of a boy and his sister by J Peellaert. Unframed this painting measures 63" by 41.25 inches. The mid-19th century work is vibrant in color and with its enormous size it is certain to fill and add charm to any area which can sustain it. Set in a 78" by 57" carved and water gilt frame that is, taking its age into consideration, surprisingly fine condition.
