Description
This stylized portrait of a young George Washington with flowing hair and confident disposition was most likely derived from an Atheneum portrait seen by the artist. The most likely attribution could be William Matthew Prior who worked in the Boston area during this time.
27” x 22” (sight), 34 ½” x 31” with frame. -
