Robert Camm came to Australian in 1853. An artist in the throes of nation building, Camm is best known for his patriotic painting "Aussies" which is in the collection of the Australian War Memorial. Dated between 1914-15, it is one of few and finest examples of a work that depicts Australian soldiers at the beginning of WWI. Predominantly, Camm painted pastoral scenes and coastal views of Victoria, particularly Apollo Bay, Lorne and Ocean Grove. - More Information
