Description
A portrait of the artist long before his fractured life ended. Here we see the freshness & purity of the young van Gogh. An elemental lightness suffuses the piece in symbolic representation of the artists later spiritual craving. The Divisionist style, also known as Vincents' style, is actually an engraving technique as mastered by Durer and adapted to paint. Mastery of this centuries old technique has allowed modern Master, Sax Berlin, to paint in his own style and create a touching and very human portrait of one of the worlds best loved Impressionists, Vincent van Gogh.
