As well as his celebrated Cornish paintings Stafford also painted a series set in London. In this picture he captures the excitement of a visit to England's capital city and beautifully portrays the hustle and bustle of London life with its ever present Double Decker buses, billboards, hoardings and crowded streets. The people appear caught up in the ever turning circle of city life.
