Description
The surreal underwater world of Walshe.
We are delighted to sell works on behalf of Walshe. Walshe is the founder of the Neo-Deco style and the motifs he uses in his art are born of his concerns for the ecology of the planet. His work contains the themes of his environment; sealife, the oceans, endangered species & the fringes of our world are all depicted with his unique stylization and sense of colour. He uses his paintings as his main form of communication and loves "the collusion between people and the environment". Born in the iconic city of Liverpool Walshe moved to Cornwall in the 1960's and became a founder member of the fledgling surf scene. He is an intensely private and unpretentious artist who allows his work to reveal his life and mind. -
