Description
A complete portfolio entitled "Zeitlupe Null" by Herbert List (1903-1975). Known in English "Slowmotion Zeeo", the photographic works were created between 1931 and 1939. Consisting of 10 gelatin silver prints, the portfolio was printed in 1980 by Galerie F.C. Gundlach, Hamburg an edition of 50. The set on offer is 21/50.
Each photograph comes with a custom mat and is marked with the embossed "HL" stamp on lower right, and the Herbert List Estate stamp with the executor Max Scheler's signature, print number, and edition notation 21/50 in ink on verso. They are in the original Elephant folio-sized brown cloth clamshell box with introduction, artist's biography and work list page. the colophon also bears the edition notation 21/50 in ink.
The images 7 3/8 x 7 1/8" to 11 x 7 1/8"; The sheets 16 x 12": The clam shell box measure 15 x 19 x 2".
