An unexpected marquee at the base of upscale 30 Rockefeller Center beams neon into the night. The 1930's art deco monolith is lit up like a silver spaceship as it thrusts into an inky jet-black sky populated with stars. This Sci-fi image juxtaposes a commonplace neon sign to a New York icon and ties it to the celestial. It begs the question ... Who's Ed? What's Ed delivering and to who? This archival color photograph by fine art photographer Mitchell Funk is signed, numbered 3/15, dated and titled and lower right recto. Printed later and other sizes are available. Unframed. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper. Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of Sci-fi Photography and "Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum.
