"A distant storm echoes across the valley as a hundred hooves beat into the ground. The ground vibrates beneath your feet as the herd gallops towards the horizon. Dirt kicks up into the still air as the sound of crickets brings a sense of peace. The sunlight is slowly giving way to dusk, followed by an evening full of rain showers and lightning cracking across the plains.
Horses have always been the soul of my work within the western lifestyle. The joy I am met with each time I am around these animals is unlike anything else. It is a feeling only few will understand yet those who do share a lifelong bond and admiration for it. Their connection to us humans has always fascinated me. The way they can read your body language and act differently with each human they encounter. Some say they can even sync their heartbeats with their owners. This artwork is dedicated to these amazing creatures and those who also appreciate their beauty." -
