Description | Shockwave Fluke, a woodblock print on handmade rice paper by contemporary English artist Julian Meredith. This print reflects the natural beauty of a humpback whale’s tail and the organic shape of a solid plank of elm, along with the vivid texture of the sawn plank. Measures: 122 in. wide x 42 in. high (including stretcher). Julian Meredith is a member of the Royal Academy and his work is in several museum collections including the Tate Modern. He resides in Hereford, England, and is best known for his large-scale works of marine life, especially whales. sizes below include stretcher |
