RAPAZ, bronze sculpture
-
Description
RAPAZ is a bronze sculpture, crafted in the lost-wax casting technique, with black patina finish, made by emerging Mexican artist Emilio Flores. Emilio’s work explores the visual patterns created by the fragmentation of organic matter and how these patterns can reflect social, historical, and personal events. This series does not aim to replicate nature but instead proposes new configurations—patterns that feel organic yet do not exist in nature, suggesting potential forms.
Emilio Flores (1988, Monterrey, Mexico) studied Liberal Arts at the University of Navarra in Pamplona and Creative Communication Strategy at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. His art has been exhibited in cities such as Monterrey, Mexico City, Guadalajara, San Antonio, TX, Barcelona, and Shanghai. Recently shown at Mexico City Art week 2025 with Marion Friedmann Gallery.
