  • Description
    Jacobus Perkois was a Dutch painter of portraits, miniaturist, and engraver. He was born in Middelbourg in 1756 and died in 1804. Perkois worked for the East India Company and was the pupil of the Confrérie of The Hague in 1776. He later became master of drawing at Middelbourg in 1778, and then moved to Amsterdam where he died. Two well-known engravings by him are a head of a man and of a horse.
