Description
A French Renaissance Revival folding three-panel screen with hand-painted Grotesque motifs and inset glass from the 19th century. Reminding us of motifs that one would see on the ceiling of the Uffizi gallery in Florence, this French painted screen features three panels adorned with hand-painted Grotesque motifs topped with inset glass on the side panels. The artist created a harmonious effect by highlighting the central panel with a soft green color. Two angels in the upper section lead our eye to the carved ribbon crest. The delicacy of this French folding screen and lovely painted colors and giltwood accents make it a perfect decorative accent in any home.
