Description
Early 19th century hand painted and decorated chinoiserie bureau / desk. The fall front opening to reveal a fully fitted interior and numerous holding compartments, above an arrangement of various drawer, standing on four feet on each side. The bureau is decorated throughout and it is in very good antique condition for its age showing light signs of wear commensurate with age and use. The bureau features an hand-painted of a warm beige-camel ground with gilt, blue, and white chinoiserie decoration including figures and birds in pagoda riverscapes. The top can be easily remove for easy access for shipping. It stands 43" High X 50" Length X 27 1/2" Wide
