Description
A Regence / Louis XV-Style, Gilt-Bronze-Mounted Kingwood and Marquetry Tall-Case Grandfather Clock, 19th Century.
After a Model by Charles Cressent (French, 1685-1768). A fine palatial clock, with nice quality gilt-bronze mounts throughout, with a figural putti on top. The dial signed Balthazar twice, several mounts bearing a C couronnée stamp.
100" high x 22" wide x 22" deep
Condition:
Please note we do not guarantee clock movements. Scuffs, losses, and wear commensurate with age. Minor rubbing and tarnishing to gilt bronze mounts. -
