An elegant circa 1800 Prussian Baltic Directoire style three drawer commode having luminescent mahogany veneered and satinwood line-inlaid oak and pine case, the thick slab top above locking top drawer with center cornucopia and foliate scroll gilt-metal keyhole escutcheon mount in lozenge recess above two lower locking drawers with gilt-metal repoussé disk ring pulls and matching keyhole escutcheons on short square tapering legs. Perfect scale for a small entry hall or for use beside a sofa or bed.
