Description
Claude Vassal, beautifully shaped solid oakwood armoire, designed at the beginning of the 1950s and realized by Magasins Pilotes, the company founded by Vassal and his father Marcel-Henry in 1951. Claude Vassal's creations are characterized by a functionalist approach above all: the forms are simple and structured, the form follows the function. Everything is played out with him in details such as the unhooked lines, angles introduced where they are not expected, counterweights calling into question the balance of form.
