Reference: Daniel Porter apprenticed with Daniel Burnap in Connecticut before settling in Williamstown, Massachusetts. His clock cases are distinguished by their oval voids in the pediment, canted corners on the hood doors, sophisticated inlays, and bracket feet. Porter tall case clocks are in the collections of Historic Deerfield (HD 93.028) and the Bennington Museum (1977.189).
