Edward Wormely for Dunbar woven front chest, mahogany and brushed nickel, signed. Medium scale commode, No. 4465, with two woven front sliding doors, two top exterior drawers and a finished back. There are six interior drawers. The each sliding door has 4 horizontal brushed nickel rods and brass tapered legs which were refinished to match. Retains original cardboard label on the cabinet's underside.
Refinished. Additions or alterations made to the original: We replaced the original wood base with dead stock Dunbar brass legs. Professionally refinished in dark mahogany finish - we duplicated the original Dunbar factory no. 14 finish. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor shop wear to the top. -
