Description A fine and rare new Hampshire 'bonnet-topped' chest on chest in a small size — with a particularly bold cornice molding, a large fan and pinwheel carved center drawer, fluted pilasters along edges of both front and sides, a pinwheel-carved center drop, and well- articulated ball and claw feet. Maple, with pine secondary wood, in an old, probably original, red stain, and retaining its original brasses. South central NH, c.1800, school of Moses Hazen. Top case 36", lower case 39", 84" ht.
