Description
Chinese Export Lacquer Bureau Cabinet of Small Proportions in Three Sections Comprising Table , Bureau and Cabinet Retaining the Original Metalwork and
Black and Gold Decoration . Circa 1745
Separating the base- bureau and cabinet was an ingenious method for space saving and packing for the shipping from Canton to Europe
Provenance
Private Collection Jamaica and London .Purchased from the late Blanche Blackwell in Lowndes Square London .She was the inspiration for Pussy Galore in Ian Flemings novel Goldfinger ....she was also his mistress . Born Blanche Lindo - of the world famous family of business folk and philanthropists , known for their massive loan to Napoleon ( unrepaid ) . See Lindo Hospital London Paddington London

Condition: Complete original condition , retaining all the original Oriental metalwork handles and locks . The Laquer and Gold in a remarkable state of preservation - having the usual crackling of Lacquer in places
