Description
This sideboard was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague in the 1930's for Hastings. It is black semi-gloss hand polished lacquer with aqua green interiors. There are two adjustable shelves on the left side, three drawers on the right side and a hidden locked door on the far right side. The hidden door unlocks to reveal four smaller deep shelves. Industrial designer, architect, graphic designer, illustrator, writer and entrepreneur, Walter Dorwin Teague is noted as one of the founders of the industrial design profession in the United States. He designed for many companies besides Hastings such as Kodak, Sparton, Steinway and Steuben
